yuccas at White Sands National Park

During a recent trip to the southern part of New Mexico, I had the opportunity to spend a few days exploring the magical White Sands National Park. This was a new location for me and I was thrilled at the chance get out on the white gypsum sand dunes for some unique photographs. The visit did not disappoint as I was able to experience different conditions and light. I was also able to explore extensively and capture some nice images.

I documented the experience in an article for the popular online photographer’s news source, Petapixel. Rather than discussing general topics about visiting the park, I focused on the aspects of light and how it changes over the course of the day. Of course I got to include some of my favorite photos from the trip.
